About Chef Jeff
Jeff Johnson (“Silent Chef Jeff”) grew up around food. Born and raised in the beach cities of Orange County, childhood was spent at the knee of his grandfather, a master pastry chef and baker. Watching grandfather in the kitchen, Jeff was privy to all aspects of the culinary arts at a young age. The family was always about – happy, laughing, sharing, eating. Later it was groups of family and friends. Big parties, casual BBQs, special occasion dinners. Great food and happy people – all touchstones to a magical time in his life, and the groundwork of Jeff’s future. From this foundation came his greatest passion – a desire to share his experience, abilities and love of food with others.
After graduating San Clemente High School, Jeff received a Degree in Nutrition from Saddleback College. He went on to study and train at one of the top culinary schools in the world, California Culinary Academy (CCA) in San Francisco, CA. Upon graduating CCA he moved back to his much loved and much missed hometown, San Clemente.
Talents and Opportunities
His true talents began to shine under the watchful eye of Christian Rassinoux, Executive Chef at the Ritz Carton in Dana Point. Opportunities in Laguna Beach and Beverly Hills (with private chef to the stars, Christian Paier) presented themselves and Jeff took the occasion to discover, grow, and learn even more. An opportunity to expand his abilities and express his creativity came when he decided to explore his first passion – providing cuisine to others who, like Jeff, are passionate about food. The freshest ingredients, vast culinary experience and an eye for beauty in presentation all combine to transform a meal into a treat for the eyes and a feast for the taste buds.
Experienced in many forms of traditional and fusion cuisine, Jeff will delight and impress you and your distinguished guests with memorable evening of food.
Jeff Johnson is a Certified Chef and Member of the American Culinary Federation of United States.
